Our History

Shifting demographics in southwest Minnesota open a set of opportunities and challenges for all populations who are integrating and adapting to community change. MNSOJ was born out of the need for a community liaison to address the needs and represent the growing and changing diverse populations of Worthington and southwest Minnesota. In 2016, local community leaders came together to lay the foundations for the creation of MNSOJ. After a few years operating under fiscal sponsorship with Voices for Racial Justice, MNSOJ officially became a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2023.
Minnesota Seeds of Justice is led by community leaders who represent the diversity of southwest Minnesota, who are present in the community, and who have built trust and alliances with community members and local organizations.
